Talking of Don Giovanni (which is completely awesome by the way) didn’t I read that he composed the overture on the morning of the premiere? While he was hungover? I’m sure I read that. It certainly sounds like the sort of thing he’d do.

And as for that Requiem, Christ alive. We even played it on glockenspiels once (my teacher was…unique…) in our A Level class and not even that stopped it sounding immense.

Oh and I don’t know if you can get hold of the BBC’s series The Genius of Mozart from about ten years ago but if you can it’s pretty fab
