I know this isn’t the most amazing photo ever, but I want to share it as my ‘Goodbye Matt’ post because I took it the first time I ever saw him filming, for The Lodger. At the time, loads of people were still saying ‘No, we don’t want him, he’s too young/looks too much like a foot/just isn’t David Tennant etc etc’, and when I got home and looked at my pictures this one made me really happy. Look at that little boy, looking up at him like ‘Wow it’s the Doctor’ even though his first episode hadn’t even been aired yet. The kids were all so excited when he came over and he was brilliant with them. He was never not going to be a great Doctor <3
