This might sound strange but do you have John's autograph and do you have a picture of it? It was on ebay recently and I wanted it but then I didn't know what it was supposed to look like to know if it's real and you seem like someone who'll know. Thanks

Um…I do, but the only one I seem to have bothered taking a picture of isn’t what he usually writes, so I don’t know how helpful it is! Generally (mind, I’ve not asked him for over a year, so perhaps he’s mixing it up a bit now!) he puts ‘John Heffernan’, so…you can see how the John part looks, anyway:

(Also kind of a shitty picture. Sorry… I was probably shaking with excitement when I took it xD)

I’ll see if I can find what it usually looks like. I’ve got it somewhere, just my programmes and bits and bobs are all a bit packed away at the moment!

Unbelievably, tonight was the first time in history a woman has conducted The Last Night of the Proms. Marin Alsop was stupendous and gave a moving speech about the importance of following your dreams, regardless of who tells you ‘girls can’t do that’. And there was gorgeous, mad Nigel Kennedy in the same evening, bliss.
