I really don’t use this blog enough…what a fail! Anyway, I went to Richard II last night in Stratford. I’ve been a fan of David Tennant for a good eight years now, loved him in Hamlet, and so was expecting big things…
…and so far as I can see from twitter etc, basically everybody thinks it’s the best thing ever…
…but I didn’t. I was (not literally, of course!) clock-watching, which I rarely do in the theatre. And it bothers me that I don’t completely understand why. So this isn’t a review by any means, it’s more me wondering whether rambling on for a bit will make my feelings a bit clearer to me. Here’s some wittering on, then:
