“Look down there. You see? Little men with their little lives.” - Frankenstein
Ah, this was the part when Ben spat on me. It was awesome.
So, a month today I’ll be flying home and probably in a lot of pain, and to mark the occasion I’ve promised on twitter that if I reach
Reminder, because this is hard and you will forget:
Burning bridges with people who are toxic to you is necessary and important.
The Last Enemy Deleted Scene
Why are they always deleting the lovely scence with benedict?
Always the best scenes. Always. Do they think we can’t handle them?
one of my favorites came out with a new album - hope this means he plans to tour in the US sometime within the next year!! He is one of if not my favorite musician to see live in concert. This is Jamie Cullum performing his song “Pure Imagination” from his new album Momentum which released 5/20 in the US.
I’m in a Jamie mood now. And I love this one <3
(Ramble ahead!)
I LOVE IT.
That probably sounds biased. I’ve been a huge Jamie fan for pretty much ten years and he’s basically my favourite thing in the whole world so I realise it’s a bit like ‘Oh yeah well OF COURSE she loves it’ but actually, I get terrified before he releases new material incase I don’t. Because he’s so interested in so many different kinds of music and loves experimenting so much, I always worry that the next album might be the one where he starts doing something I don’t like. I mean, if you listen to all the albums so far they all have their own sound. He’s always changing. And I especially worried about this one after he released Love For $ale because I REALLY didn’t like it. It’s grown on me slightly now (it’s massively better live, which helps) but I still tend to skip it when it comes on. So yes, I was nervous.
But it’s brilliant
When I Get Famous is definitely my favourite, but I absolutely adore The Same Things, Everything You Didn’t Do, Pure Imagination (oh god I love that one, it’s a favourite song of mine anyway and his version is everything I ever hoped it would be), Sad Sad World, Take Me Out (Of Myself), Save Your Soul, Get A Hold Of Yourself and You’re Not The Only One…I mean, that’s pretty much all of them, isn’t it? And aside from LF$ the ones I’ve missed off I really, really like, just not *quite* as much. I know it’s poppier and less jazzy and some people don’t like that, but I’ve always liked Jamie’s poppy side as much as the jazz. I like that it’s still fun and uplifting and singalong-y, and there are a good few jazzy solos that are properly awesome, so it’s not like he’s lost it completely. And more than anything, he still sounds like *Jamie*. What I’ve always loved about him most of all is that there’s a kind of warmth to his music that makes me feel really happy. Like when I listen to it…ugh, it sounds stupid, but when I listen to him I feel like I’m home and everything’s alright, if you know what I mean. Momentum does that just as much as ever so I. AM. HAPPY
Haha, I really didn’t mean to start a debate, I just found it amusing this morning when I’d had no sleep xD
I put the cream on first, personally, though I hear everyone’s argument that if you don’t do the jam first you can’t spread it properly. Makes sense. I just don’t really do spreading, I’m more from the ‘large dollop’ school :P
The presenters on BBC Breakfast are actually having a debate on whether it’s cream first or jam first when you make scones. Clearly this is literally THE most pressing issue in the UK today.
Feeling the need to update you all on this - they just had an amazingly over enthusiastic man telling us that ‘PINEAPPLE IS THE MORTAL FOE OF JELLY’. Is this programme always this weird?!

All hail the Cumberlord!
