apologies for the rubbish photos but I’ve never talked about my beautiful Edward II ring, which I had made as a well-done-for-surviving-your-first-term-at-uni present and to sort of commemorate the production that helped me get through it. It of course says ‘Perfect Shadows in a Sunshine Day’ and I love it.

OH MY GOODNESS! I’ve been thinking about doing the same but as a bangle (just I haven’t found anywhere who makes decent looking ones within my price range yet) xD It’s lovely! And you deserve it for all that hard work, too

I honestly thought that was a really normal thing that everyone’s fingers could do… Is it really not?!

GUYS THIS MEANS THAT BENNY IS FUCKING DOUBLE JOINTED

Actually, it’s a condition that goes along with his freakish toes. His foot thing is called Morton’s toe, and the joint thing is called hypermobility. My mother has the same thing, as does my brother. I’ve only got hypermobility in a few of my fingers, meaning I can do this with them: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypermobility

Right, final post on the subject, then I’m going to bed :P Just wanted to reblog this once more for the wiki link because I’ve gone from being genuinely surprised at this being something people find surprising(!) to actually learning something and YAY for knowledge. It just feels so easy and natural to me that I do it without even noticing and it seems I should maybe try and stop that :-/ (Couldn’t it have the decency to hurt if it’s bad for me, as a warning? Or at least feel marginally difficult?) And I’ve always had really dodgy hips and knees and no doctor has even been able to work out why so I’m thinking perhaps it’s related… Well anyway, you learn something new every day! Hurrah!

Being able to do that means your hands are double-jointed or hyperflexible. I can do it too. It freaks people out. I can also cross all my fingers. That really freaks people out.

Ohhhh! Yes, I can cross mine, too - my mum screams at me when I do it! I’d forgotten about that, actually xD I never really thought to ask anyone else because it doesn’t seem that odd to me. I might start, for science :P

i can do that thing with my fingers too? didn't know that was weird haha

I’m getting some reblog notifications with people saying they can do it, too… I bet there’s loads of us and he just doesn’t realise (and the people at his starting line were just wimps :P)
