I was going to stop posting John stuff for tonight but then I stumbled across Rupert Goold’s tweet calling him ‘the best verse-speaker in the country’ and…well, it made me think of this.

1 January 2010 - Until the end of time.

One of my favourite Matt memories is watching him and Karen film some of The Lodger near my house. Obviously this was before his first series aired, and I’d seen so much hate and complaining about him (basically for the simple crime of not being David Tennant) on the internet and it was depressing the hell out of me, but there in that park there were all these kids and even though they’d seen barely anything of him yet they were all looking at him with wide eyes and huge smiles and they didn’t care that he wasn’t Ten, they were just so excited to see the Doctor. I have a photo somewhere of when he came over and signed autographs and this little boy is just staring at him in wonder. It made me so happy. I will miss you, Matthew <3
