Weren’t you invited to the Halloween feast, the May Dance, the October Revival, the Old Boys and Girls supper and social? Dancing on the lawn, cold buffets on the flat roof, midnight croquet, barbecued boar by the lake? None of this? I never knew about it, she said. What! I said. The autumn art exhibition, the monthly concert of orchestral music in the bandroom, the half-yearly debate on a selected topic, held traditionally in the men’s changing room? The Pageant? The unveiling? The festival of one act plays, judged by Miss Daisy Cutts, L.R.M.B, A.C.A, our dramatic instructor? You came down, I said, for none of these activities and ceremonies through which we from time immemorial engage and channel our patients’ energies? Oh dear, she said, I was never told. Obviously a clerical error, I said, I shall have it looked into.”

I was actually so bored yesterday I learnt to recite this by heart. That is how sad I am. It is one of my favourite theatre moments ever, though. He did it *perfectly*.

Forget the Myers-Briggs fucking personality assessment. I am dead tired of hearing if someone is an INFP or an ESLQ or whatever. I want to know if someone is melancholic or choleric. Bring back the four humors. I wanna see “Kaley, 16, phlegmatic” when I go to someone’s blog. Who is with me. Lets make this happen
